Vancouver Musical Giants Collide

The Canadian Music Centre opens their sixth New Music New Places
series with an evening of multi-media compositions that take full
acoustic and visual advantage of the inspiring, new atrium at VCC’s
Broadway campus. VCC’s inventive faculty composers, Francois
Houle, John Korsrud, Giorgio Magnanensi, Jon Siddall, and Peter
Hannan are utilizing the entire pantry for this audio/visual
feast. When laptop video art, electro-acoustics, the VCC
Gamelan Ensemble, a dancer, a trumpet player, and a clarinet army
collide, this four-story, wide open space, with its stunning North
Shore views, will vibrate with the intensity for which it was
designed.
