Today, July 31st, 2026, marks a profound moment in musical storytelling with the global release of Grafeneck 10654. This poignant new album from Effendi Records is now available on all digital platforms in both stereo and immersive Dolby Atmos, with physical copies reaching shelves in Canada, France, and Belgium.

Composers Helmut Lipsky and Thomas Fortmann have woven a narrative that spans three centuries of Grafeneck Castle's history. From its Renaissance origins to the presence of C.P.E. Bach, the music ultimately confronts the dark shadow of 1940, when the castle became a site of unthinkable tragedy. Recorded by the Trio Grafeneck 10654—Helmut Lipsky (violin), Louise Bessette (piano), and Olivier Maranda (percussion)—these five works resonate with the echoes of a place once filled with beauty that became a grave for 10,654 individuals.

More than just a recording, this project is a moving tribute to the victims. By transforming historical weight into a musical narrative which includes a message of hope inspired by Beethoven, Grafeneck 10654 seeks to open doors to dialogue and healing. We invite you to listen and join us in this ode to memory.
