On February 9, 2025, at 3:00 PM, the Maison Symphonique de Montréal will host "Fiery Flight," a concert featuring violist Marina Thibeault alongside the Orchestre Métropolitain under the baton of Austrian conductor Christoph Koncz.
Marina Thibeault will take the stage to perform Julia Adolphe's "Unearth, Release," a concerto dedicated to the viola. Thibeault, celebrated for her "rich and deep sound as well as her virtuosity and exceptional enthusiasm", brings her profound artistry to this contemporary piece, exploring the viola's expressive range.
"Fiery Flight" promises an afternoon of exceptional music-making, blending masterpieces of Stravinsky and Bartok with the contemporary work of Adolphe, all brought to life by the talents of Marina Thibeault and the Orchestre Métropolitain.
