“Tambuco is versatility, originality and virtuosity in a musical communion that describes and celebrates our diversity and unites the ancestral origin of percussion with the future of musical languages.” Ricardo Gallardo, Artistic Director

Four of the world’s very top percussionists, the Tambuco players are masters of both contemporary and vernacular styles. “Mesmerizing creativity…subtle and forceful artistry…,” comments Gramophone, “ the members of Tambuco are chameleons on dozens of instruments.” Touring the globe for a quarter century, the quartet is sought after by partners like Gustavo Dudamel and the LA Phil for projects like the orchestra’s special centennial commission from Gabriela Ortiz. Don’t miss their breathtaking performance for the Library’s annual Founder’s Day concert, coming to us from their studio in Veracruz, Mexico.
