The Jazz Orchestra of the Concertgebouw (JOC) ranks among the absolute top of big bands in Europe and is driven by a world-class rhythm section and crystal-clear brass sections. The orchestra consists of the best Dutch jazz musicians and showcases a deep respect for and vision of music in all its forms. The JOC is named after the Royal Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, the only concert hall in the world that, in addition to a classical orchestra, also has a jazz orchestra associated with its name.

The JOC has worked with a wide variety of guest soloists, from Roy Hargrove

to Chick Corea, Branford Marsalis to Oleta Adams and Jose James. Recently the orchestra has collaborated with Joshua Redman, Jazzmeia Horn, Shai Maestro, James Carter, Tyreek McDole and Brandee Younger.
